I find photography to be a wonderful medium for creating art. Some images may appear more like paintings - I call them "Paintings from Gaia". As Mother Nature provides a perpetual art show, I enjoy "getting out there" and sharing my interpretation through photographic images. I love birds and birding, hence the first gallery is: "Birds, The Joy of Birds".
The images I present reflect my lifelong love of art. Creativity was encouraged as a child and by age 10 I would take the bus (for a nickle) to the home of a family friend who was an art director and gave private art lessons. My teacher shared his passion and taught me the basics of art from drawing with perspective to working with various mediums. Most importantly, he shared and encouraged the joy & love of being creative. I feel the influence of Ray and later art instructors when looking for the right composition.
